WhatsApp & SMS
Verify your phone once, then let The Quantum Club reach you on the channel you actually check for time-sensitive updates.
What these channels are for
SMS and WhatsApp are reserved for time-sensitive items — meeting reminders, urgent scheduling changes, and security alerts. They are not a chat inbox and not where your applications or messages live; those stay inside The Quantum Club. Both channels are opt-in and both require a verified phone number.
Verify your phone number
A verified number is the prerequisite for every text-based notification. You verify it once with a one-time code.
Add your number
In settings, enter your mobile number where prompted for phone verification.
Request the code
A 6-digit code is sent to your phone by SMS. If it does not arrive, you can request another after a short cooldown.
Enter the code
Type the 6-digit code to confirm the number. The code expires, and a fresh one is sent each time you request it.
Codes are single-use and expire
Each code works once and only for a short window. If you mistype it or wait too long, request a new one rather than reusing the old.
Turn channels on
Channels are controlled per type in Settings, not here:
- SMS notifications — urgent scheduling and security updates by text.
- WhatsApp notifications — the same class of urgent updates through WhatsApp, where available.
Both stay off until you enable them, and both need the verified number above. Quiet Hours still apply: non-urgent items wait for your window to close, while genuinely urgent ones come through.
What these channels do not do
Being precise about the limits keeps your expectations right:
- They are outbound, not a help desk. Replying to a notification text does not open a support conversation or reach your Talent Strategist. Use your account for anything that needs a response.
- They never carry sensitive data. Codes and reminders only — never passwords, documents, or full message contents.
- WhatsApp coverage depends on availability. When WhatsApp delivery is not available for your number or region, you still receive the same updates by SMS or in-app.
Keep your number current
If you change numbers, re-verify the new one before you rely on text alerts. An unverified or stale number silently misses every SMS and WhatsApp send.
