Job-search privacy
Run a confidential search — control which companies see you, what they see, and keep your current employer out of it.
The three controls
Job-search privacy is governed by three independent controls in Settings under Privacy. They stack: each one narrows what a partner can see, and you can use any combination.
- Field sharing — per-field toggles for what partners see by default.
- Stealth Mode — anonymize your profile until you choose to reveal it.
- Company blocklist — name specific companies that may never see you.
Choose what partners see
Field sharing decides which details appear to a partner you have not yet engaged with. You toggle each field on or off, including your full name, email, phone, location, current title, LinkedIn, salary expectations, and notice period.
One rule cuts through all of it: applying to a company's role shares the details that application needs with that company. Deciding to apply is itself consent. Field sharing governs what partners see when you have not taken that step.
Stealth Mode
Stealth Mode anonymizes your profile for cold outreach and blind-hiring scenarios — it hides identifying details until you approve a conversation. Turn it on and choose an Anonymization Level:
| Level | Name | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Basic Stealth | The lightest masking of identifying details. |
| 2 | Enhanced Stealth | A stronger layer over who you are. |
| 3 | Full Stealth | The most thorough anonymization. |
While Stealth Mode is on and you have not applied to a company's role, a partner browsing candidates sees only non-identifying signal — your experience level, skills, remote and employment preferences. Your name shows as Candidate, and your contact details, current company, location, salary, and resume stay hidden until you engage.
You can also set Allow Cold Outreach to decide whether partners may reach out while you are anonymized. Leave it off to stay fully unsolicited-free.
Applying is consent. Until you apply, you control exactly how much of you a partner can see.
Keep your current employer out
The company blocklist is the direct answer to "I don't want my current employer to know I'm looking." Search for a company by name and add it; blocked companies cannot see your profile, regardless of your other settings. Add your current employer, and anyone else you would rather not surface to.
Blocklist by name, deliberately
The blocklist works on companies you choose, so it covers more than one employer — add former employers, competitors, or anyone you would rather keep at a distance. Review it whenever your situation changes.
How this works with Club Sync
When Club Sync acts on your behalf, it stays inside these controls — your stealth setting, field sharing, and blocklist all hold. Partners receive only the fields you have marked shareable or the information you approve. Nothing about automation overrides the privacy you set here.
