Export or delete your data
Exercise your access and erasure rights from your own account settings — no ticket, no waiting on support.
Both your data export and your account deletion are self-service. You run them yourself from your account settings, against your own authenticated account. For how these map to GDPR rights more broadly, see GDPR and data rights.
Export your data
From the privacy controls in your settings, you request a full export of the personal data the platform holds about you. The export is generated for your account and delivered as a single JSON file through a short-lived, private download link.
What the export covers:
- Your profile, candidate profile, and résumé records.
- Your applications, notifications, and preferences.
- Security records such as trusted devices and consent receipts.
- An inventory of your stored files across the platform's buckets.
Connection tokens stay out
Where you have connected an external service such as email or calendar, the export lists the connection but never includes the access or refresh tokens themselves. Secrets are deliberately excluded.
The download link is deliberately short-lived. If it expires before you save the file, request the export again.
Delete your account
From the same privacy controls, you request deletion of your account. Because this is destructive, the flow asks you to confirm in two ways: a step-up identity check, and typing the exact phrase DELETE MY ACCOUNT.
A deletion request does not erase everything instantly. It opens a grace period — currently 14 days — during which you can cancel the request and keep your account. You confirm the request through a link sent to you; the request is then processed automatically once the grace period ends.
What deletion removes and what it keeps
Deletion is an erasure with lawful exceptions, not a blanket wipe. Personal data with no remaining retention basis is removed or anonymized:
- Your authentication identity is deleted and your profile data is anonymized.
- Messages you sent are redacted; your applications are detached from your identity.
- Security and device records are stripped of identifying fields.
Some records are minimized but retained where a legal or financial obligation requires it — for example referral earnings, payout records, and billing documents keep the transaction while clearing free-text and reference fields tied to you. This is the same retention principle described on the GDPR page.
Doing it
Open privacy controls
Go to your account settings and open the privacy controls where export and deletion live.
Export first if you want a copy
Run the export and save the JSON file before its download link expires. Deletion is irreversible once processed.
Request deletion and confirm
Pass the step-up check, type the confirmation phrase, and confirm through the emailed link. Cancel any time inside the grace period.
You know where to export your data, that the download link is short-lived, and that deletion runs on a cancellable grace period after which identifying data is removed or anonymized while legally retained records are minimized.
