Referral earnings and payouts
Follow a referral from projected reward to paid out — how earnings are calculated, approved, and tracked, with nothing left to guess.
Your earnings live in the referrals hub at /referrals. This page covers the money: how an earning is calculated, the states it moves through, and how it becomes a payout. For the basics of referring and the tier ladder, see referrals and invites.
How an earning is calculated
An earning is created against the placement your referral produces, not against the sign-up. The amount is the placement fee for that hire multiplied by your share of it. While the referral is still in pipeline, the hub shows a projected figure — the same calculation weighted by how likely the application is to reach a hire at its current stage. That is why your projected number moves as a referral advances or stalls.
Why your number changes
Projected rewards are estimates from live pipeline probability. They are not promises. The figure firms up as the application advances and only becomes confirmed when the hire is real.
The states an earning moves through
Each earning carries a status you can read directly in the hub:

|---|---|
| Projected | The referral is in pipeline. The amount is an estimate weighted by stage probability. |
| Qualified | The referral was hired. The earning is confirmed and waiting to be paid. |
| Paid | The payout was approved and settled. It is recorded with a payment reference. |
| Cancelled | The application was rejected or withdrawn, so no earning is due. |
The payout approval flow
Payouts are reviewed and released by The Quantum Club — you do not approve your own. A qualified earning becomes a payout that moves through review, approval, and settlement. When it is marked paid, the matching earning flips to Paid and a payment reference is attached, so every settled reward is traceable.
Tracking what you have earned
The earnings view separates what is real from what is still building:
- Realized Rewards — confirmed earnings from placed referrals.
- Projected Rewards — estimates from your active pipeline.
- Earnings history — every earning with its status, grouped by year, with paid and outstanding totals to support your own records.
Notifications
You are notified as referrals move and money lands. Hire and payout events can reach you by email; pipeline events such as a new sign-up or a stage advance appear in your activity feed. You control which of these you receive in your referral notification preferences.
Watch projected turn to qualified
When a referral is hired, its earning moves from Projected to Qualified. That is your signal the reward is confirmed.
Wait for approval
The Quantum Club reviews and releases the payout. You receive a payout notification when it settles.
Reconcile from history
Use the earnings history, grouped by year, to check paid versus outstanding for your own records.
